Programming a Headless System
The challenges
The company E3DC had the exciting task of developing a multifunctional configurator for the selection and configuration of various home power stations. Additionally, an intelligent inventory control system had to be developed for the online shop, and a comprehensive ERP system needed to be integrated. The system had to fit seamlessly into an existing system.
Implementation
Hob by Horse took over various steps of the project for this purpose. From the conceptual design, through extensive and detailed user interface design, to the complete programming of a headless Shopware system along with a matching React frontend and interface development – everything from a single source!
Through guided workshops, technical expertise, and consultation, Hob by Horse developed a comprehensive project concept. By interviewing various personas and creating individual user stories, a highly user-friendly frontend design was subsequently conceived. The implementation of the shop was based on the headless system of Shopware 6 Professional Edition. With Shopware, a fast and immediately visible foundation was developed. The simple API approach enabled many interface issues to be addressed quickly and with high quality. The possibility of SSO and the headless system also offered the opportunity to have complete freedom in the design of the customer portal’s frontend. The custom frontend is responsive and can be sustainably expanded at any time. This allows for the continuous development of the project without any issues.
